Book du jour (ongoing)

A series of small books and maquettes exploring materials and structures is documented on my blog:

Structure project, November 2010

Picture
An example of reading matter offered to passers-by and bus passengers.  This consisted of idioms and other commonly-known phrases - but only the first three words, to fit in the windows. Readers were free to complete the phrase in the conventional way (Fur Coat And ... no knickers)
or any way they wanted (Fur Coat And ... I'm still freezing ...?).

The origami flowers add some cheer and set out to be eye-catching.

The project resulted in a series of books, called Though For The, using the truncated sayings. The third word of each forms part of the phrase that acts as the subtitle and subtext of each book.

A discussion of characteristics of artwork that falls in the liminal area between writing and drawing is here, in the form of the essay submitted in November 2011.
